Mrs. Audrey Evelyn Massaro

Audrey Evelyn Massaro, 84, of Rockford, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Crimson Pointe. Born April 28, 1926 in Chicago, daughter of Frank and Edna (Leppig) Gruner. Married Jordan “Jay” Massaro on September 4, 1948 in Chicago. Graduate of Foreman High School in 1944. Worked as an executive secretary for Compassion International for 20 years and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Audrey was an avid reader, Cub’s and Bear’s fan.
Survivors include her sons Richard (Mary) Massaro of Norridge, IL and Dale (Sue) Massaro of Belvidere; grandson Anthony and granddaughter Nikki. Preceded in death by her parents and husband Jay on February 14, 1994.

Funeral Information

Memorial service 1 PM, Sunday, September 5, 2010 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Belvidere. Cremation rites have been accorded.
