Robert T. Thoren, 76, of Belvidere, IL died Wednesday afternoon February 3, 2010 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a short illness. Bob was born December 19, 1933 in Chicago, IL. the son of Helen Gross Thoren. Bob was raised by his grandparents George and Anna Thoren. He married Elizabeth Abell on September 28, 1991 in Waukegan. Bob in Waukegan and retired from the town of Elmwood Park in 2001. He loved his family and will be missed by his wife, Elizabeth of Belvidere; his daughters, Debbie Martinez of Chicago, Lisa (Andy) Avila of California, April (Bobby) Schneider of New Jersey, Anna Corgiat of Arizona; his chosen family, Pete (Jan) Pryor of Chicago, Bill (Marsha) Pryor of Elk Grove Village, Pat Richter of Belvidere, Teri (Frank) Stauserboll of Belvidere, Scott (Danielle) Pryor of Chicago; grandchildren Quinn and Drake Avila, Anthony and Nicholas Corgiat; chosen grandchildren, Jackie Pryor, Mary (Brian) Wojtasiak, Chris (Jim) Reinke, Bob (Anna Ryan) Pryor, Liz (Donn) Bryant, Rhea Eaton, Tera (Jack) Virgin, Brandy (Terry) Pauley, Faith and Annelise Stauserboll; great-grandchildren, Halen, Brydey, Jim Jr, Brooke, Will, Kiersten, Emily, Jacky, Chris, Beth, Ali, Cadie, T.J., Tryston; sister in-law, Win Abell of Kalamazoo, MI; special friends Robert Novak and Jimmy and Marie Iverson.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, Il with Rev. Eugene Wille, Pastor Emeritus of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. Cremation to take place.
