Poplar Grove, Illinois Ralph Raymond Schober, 67, of Poplar Grove, IL died Friday evening, August 27, 2010 at home after a sudden illness. Ralph was born June 6, 1943 in Red Wing, MN the son of Raymond H. and Rosella (Delva) Schober. He married Juanita Lynn Strack in Belvidere, IL on June 29, 1968. Ralph worked for the Chrysler Corp. for 37 years and retired in 2001. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, honorary member of the VFW, member of Big Thunder Grange, UAW Local 1268. Ralph was a former Boy Scout Leader, a bee keeper and enjoyed wood and leather working and collecting gas engines. Ralph enjoyed all of God’s nature. He planted a tree in his yard every year for the past 30 years in honor of his and Juanita’s birthday, and cherished planting trees with his grandchildren. Ralph was a craftsman who made jewelry from stones he would polish and bird houses for family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren; tent camping when he was younger and in the motor home in more recent years. Ralph is loved and will be missed by his wife, Juanita; children, Matthew (Janie) of Starkville, MS, Theresa (Dale, Jr.) Worley of Poplar Grove; grandchildren, Wyatt, Dakota and Dale III; sister, June (Patrick) Blee of Mazeppa, MN; nieces, Miranda (Nate) Peterson of Rochester, MN and Christina Blee of Mazeppa, MN; brothers in-law, Lee (Ardis) Strack of Monticello, WI, Louis Strack, Gary (Sherry) Strack and Wes Strack all of Belvidere, several other nieces and nephews. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere with Burial in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
