Belvidere, Illinois Wanda Lynn Smith 53, of Belvidere, Il died Monday evening, January 11, 2010 in Maple Crest Nursing Home after a lingering illness. Wanda was born July 3, 1956 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Richard and Lois (Bauling) Gardner. She married Gary A. Smith in May of 1981 in Boone County, IL Wanda worked for 25 years at Highland Hospital and then for Maple Crest Nursing Home. She loved her children. Survivors include her husband, Gary; children, Tracy (Jim) Sadewater, David (Jennifer) Smith, Brian Smith all of Rockford, Amy Smith and Donald Smith both of Belvidere; her father, Richard Gardner; brothers, Russell (Gena) Gardner of Poplar Grove and Scott (Vicki)Gardner of Nebraska; grandchildren, Steven and Alex Sadewater, Samantha, Savanna and Jack Smith. Wanda is predeceased by her mother, Lois. Funeral InformationFuneral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dan Taylor, pastor of Manchester Free Church officiating. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. No Visitation.
