Frederick W. Prior, 43, of Wheaton, IL died peacefully, Friday, December 30, 2011 in DuPage Convalescent Center. Fred battled the complications from a major accident, 22 years ago, with the loving care of so many people. Fred was born June 26, 1968 in Willingboro, N.J. the son of Anthony and Barbara (Dogger) Prior. Before Fred’s accident, he worked for Envelopes Only in Schaumburg, IL as a printer. He enjoyed motorcycles and cars; was an avid fan of the Chicago Bulls. Fred was passionate about the rock group “Kiss” and loved his golden retriever.

Fred is loved and will be missed by his mother, Barbara Prior of Belvidere; sister, Beverly (Gary) Shoemaker of Belleville, IL; niece and nephews, Amanda Brittany Cook, Brian Matthew Giesegh, Adam Christopher Giesegh, Brandon Nicholas Giesegh; great nephew and nieces, Brody Landon Giesegh, Madison Marie Giesegh, Amaya Michaela Cook, Mariah Annabella Cook; step-nephew, Gary Shoemaker, Jr; aunts, Sally Earsley and Louise West; and his cousins. Fred is predeceased by his grandparents, father, and nephew, Michael Brandon Giesegh.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2012 in First United Methodist Church, 610 Bonus Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. James Crone, pastor officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to service time Friday at the church. Cremation to follow the service with burial of Fred’s ashes in Belvidere Cemetery.
