William J. Keegan, Jr. 60, of Belvidere, died Monday, March 8, 2010 in his home following a long illness. Born April 22, 1949 in Sycamore, Illinois; the son of William J. and Margery P. (Bolz) Keegan, Sr. He attended East High School. Bill worked as a carpenter. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Bill enjoyed stock car races, NHRA Drag racing, fishing and boating. He is survived by his caregiver, Carol Nading; mother, Margery Keegan; three daughters, Teri Lynn (Corey) Wright, Marcia and Christina; four brothers, Roger (Teri), Greg (Donna), John, and Brian (Lori) Keegan; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, William, Sr., and four brothers, Terry, Phillip, Joseph and Kelly.

Funeral Information

Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home 218 W. Hurlbut Av. with the Rev. James Crone, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
