Lenora M. Hubbard, 87, of Belvidere was promoted to glory on Sunday, January 10, 2010 in her home from a long battle with congestive heart failure. She was born March 12, 1922 in Columbia City, Indiana, the daughter of Eldon N.and Mina Marie (Long) Maggert. Lenora graduated from the Columbia City High School and the Salvation Army Training Center, Chicago, Illinois in 1943 as a Lieutenant. She worked in the Payroll Department as a clerk for J.L. Clark Co. for forty years. Lenora married Russell L. Hubbard in Belvidere on August 16, 1944. He died February 5, 1993. She was a active member of the Belvidere Salvation Army Corp. Lenora taught Adult Sunday School classes for 51 years and was the Treasurer of the Corp Council. Lenora was also a member of the Boone Co. Lake Association and the Boone Co. Conservation Council. She is survived by her niece, Linda Maggert, Ft. Wayne, IN; three nephews, Michael Maggert, Ft. Wayne, IN, Robert Maggert, St Joseph, IN, and Lyle Snyder, Cherry Valley, IL; special friends, Larry and ValliJo Rubeck, Belvidere; In addition to her husband, Lenora is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Juanita Johnson, Willaden Martin; four brothers, Eldon L., Kenneth, Wilbur and Benjamin Maggert and sister-in-law, Ruby Hubbard.
