Earl Allen Boettcher, 81, lifetime resident of Belvidere, died Monday, September 6, 2010 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born on June 27, 1929 in Belvidere, son of Fred and Marie (Feltz) Boettcher. Graduated from Belvidere High School in 1947 and served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Worked as a machinist for 29 years for the National Lock Company in Rockford, retiring in 1983. Member of the John Hugo Kaiser VFW Post 1461 and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 295.
