Donna M. Schenk, 65, of Belvidere, formerly of Park Ridge, died Thursday, January 05, 2012, in her home surrounded by her family and special friends. Born November 22, 1946 in Chicago, daughter of Donald Buck and Margaret (Sexton) Navigato. Married Kenneth Schenk November 14, 1970 in Chicago. Worked for Sears as a clerk and with an accounting firm. Donna enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and puzzles. Member of St. James Church in Belvidere and Mary Seat of Wisdom in Park Ridge.
Survivors include her loving husband Kenneth, son Brian of Loves Park, daughter Kathleen (Dr. Spencer) Fast of LaValle, WI, grandchildren Gehrig, Liana and Logan Fast, brothers Ed (Mercedes) Buck, Ron Buck, sister Peggy Simpson, aunt Marian Henaghan, and several nieces a nephews. Predeceased by her parents.

Funeral Information

Funeral Mass 10 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in St. James Church with Rev. Brian Geary officiating. Cremation rites to be accorded. Visitation 3 to 8 PM with a Christian Wake service at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere. Burial at a later date.

Donations Information

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the family to establish a memorial in Donna’s name equally for both the ALS Foundation and the ALS Research Fund.
