Ms. Jacqueline Marel HerdklotzOctober 07, 1944 - September 05, 2010
Rockford, IL A beautiful couple was re-united on Sunday September 5, 2010 when Jacqueline Herdklotz left our world to join her husband William, after a brief illness. A native of Belvidere, IL, Jacqueline became a nurse and continued her gift of care giving long after the birth of her two children, Bradley and Janice. First to respond when the family needed her, her ultimate triumph was the care of her beloved husband after his illness in 1994. She fought with a warrior’s heart and championed his care until his death in 2002. Always the protector of her children, she dealt with her illness in a private, dignified manner which was always her way. She passed this world peacefully to the sound of her favorite movie, “The Sound of Music”, surrounded by family and friends and visited by her special friend Max Fosse who knew her as “The Cheese Lady”. Survivors include her son Bradley (Nicole), her daughter Janice (Ken), her brother Tom (Judy) Jury, their children Andrea and Daniel Jury, Rob (Rachel) Jury their children Max and Anna, her sister Kathie (Dick) Ziegler and their children Kevin Ziegler, Niki (Mike) Dizon and their children Jake and Liam; her brother Jeff Jury and his sons Joe and John. The family would like to also thank Dr. Ramsis Ghaly, a member of our family since 1994, who not only comforted us during our father’s illness, but was able to visit our mother in the hospital and give to her a moment of joy when she saw her dear, dear friend again. The family would also like to thank our numerous friends and relatives for their thoughts and prayers and all the ways that you stepped in and made this experience more bearable. You are all a part of our family and we treasure the bonds that we have made with all of you. Funeral InformationFuneral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010 in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church 217 E. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dr. Joyce Beaulieu, Rector celebrating. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery. Donations Information
